My WordPress theme is Swiss Magazine, which makes me feel hungry and sophisticated at the same time. My address is dot org because the dot com belongs to a realtor and I guess it also works since my current writing life, the writing life in general, is a not-for-profit venture. Teaching too. I am genetically predisposed to this (being granddaughter to farmers, teachers and journalists, daughter of nurse and social worker).

Anyway, it’s probably all passe to write a mission statement for blogs anymore. Still it seems weird just to start plopping down posts. So: Herein I begin a blog that will be equal parts self-aggrandizement (publications, updates and whatnot) and general curiosities (most likely literary in nature).
