The Breathtaking Bruce

Old VCFA pal Bruce Stone’s piece “The Advantages of Living” is up at the Numero Cinq blog . His prose is amazing, intricate, hilarious and tragic. It sounds silly or easy to say: Chekhov, Nabokov, Kafka. But no kidding. He’s one of those writers I’m going to be able to say I knew back when. I can’t wait.

  1. Susan McCarty, these words from you just knock me over. It’s like eight years or so have just evaporated, and we’re all there again in Montpelier, serenading the Green Mountains. We should have a drink, or several, soon.

  2. God, I can’t believe it’s been eight years! Oh those mountains. We should, we always should.
